This seminar is part of CIDRAL's Theory Intensives series.
Professor Alex Samely (Middle Eastern Studies, University of Manchester) will lead a seminar on the work of Emmanuel Levinas.
The session explores the link which Levinas draws between encountering the Other (Face) and knowing/not-knowing, the constitution of self-consciousness, temporality and ethics.
