Title: Small Player Robustness
Abstract: We introduce a concept of stability of a Nash equilibrium, or of a set of Nash equilibria, to the addition of small players, i.e., players who only have a small effect on the original players. We coin this concept `small player robustness' or `uniform small player robustness', depending on the specific condition required. We show that either of these conditions is equivalent to the essentiality condition of Govindan and Wilson (2005). Our techniques draw heavily on tools from semialgebraic geometry, as well as on previously developed game-theoretical tools.
