This talk will give an overview of a decade-long work undertaken in Braun Center for Submicron Research on MBE growth of InAs nanowires. This activity was driven by the interest in low-dimensional systems for
mesoscopic physics studies, in particular by the search of the Majorana fermions. Theoretical predictions supported by a series of experimental works suggest the InAs nanowires be one of the very few systems
accessible for hosting the elusive Majorana quasiparticles. A critical component in constructing a suitable Majorana device is the presence of the proximity-induced superconductivity. We addressed this requirement
integrating the aluminium coating step into our MBE growth process, which happens to be quite a challenge. Last but not least of our achievements is the successful growth of reclining nanowires. The systematic
study of growth dynamics has significantly enriched our understanding of the Vapour-Liquid-Solid mechanism, and the role played by the metal catalyst particle.
