About the event:
A unique training session that uses drama to bring to life the stories of people affected by dementia and to explore the ways in which health care professionals may improve their ability to communicate with people affected by dementia.
‘Find me’ is run by AFTA Thought, a drama based training group with almost 25 years of experience. AFTA Thought recognise that every experience of dementia is different, for both the person living with dementia, and for those around them. Promoting the need to connect with people in ‘their world’, AFTA Thought explore the triggers and techniques to ‘find’ that person again. The workshop aims to signpost students, staff and carers to practical tools to make and maintain those connections, helping them ‘unlock’ the person living with dementia.
