Plastic Awareness and bake sale
To mark world oceans day the Citylabs Green Impact team is holding a bake sale to help raise funds for a UK based charity; Surfers against Sewage that organise beach clean-ups and works tirelessly to reduce single use plastic and work with communities to help keep our beaches clean across the North West
According to Greenpeace there is an estimated 12.7 million tonnes of plastic – everything from plastic bottles and bags to microbeads – end up in our oceans each year. That’s a truck load of rubbish a minute.
We are asking for cake donations (sweet/ savoury/ gluten free/ vegan/ nut free – all welcome) they can be dropped off at Citylabs – just ask for Vicky Turner who is based on the second floor.
